Born on December 1, 1963 in Ruhla, Germany, the uncircumcised actor first appeared onscreen in 1992 as the lead in the political comedy Stilles Land. For most of the 1990s he focused on theatrical productions, but, following his 2002 performance in the award-winning drama Grill Point, his film and television career continues to blossom, with appearances in over 60 film and television productions.
